Well, there’s a lot to be impressed by, and a lot of things changed with the latest model.
The 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S (codenamed 992) is a rear-wheel-drive sports car with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3-liter flat-six engine which hits 443 HP.
It weighs about 55 kg more than the previous model, its body and wheels are bigger, and it features better crash protection than the previously designed Porsche 911. It also has a bigger rear wing than previous models to produce more downforce.
Design
The new 911’s design remains classic, but at the same time, it is very high-tech. For example, the dash design looks like the original 911, but the handles pop out automatically when you open the door. The center console is minimized, but still very functional.
Overall, the car looks very solid and classy and almost every interior surface is leather.
Gadgets
The 911 Carrera S is equipped with an 11-inch touch screen with satellite navigation, digital driving displays with 7-inch screens, and a 150-watt eight-speaker sound system. It comes with front and rear sensors, electronically-controlled adjustable suspension, and dual-zone climate control.
The digital driver’s display is pretty comfy. It displays video from four wide-angle cameras around the car, a camera in the rearview mirror housing, and an infrared camera. It is also connected to a long-range radar upfront and another one in back.
The infotainment system in the 911 which is really user-friendly: a bright screen, good graphics, and quick response times. Although it’s not a problem to set a destination or waypoint when you’re stopped, it’s a bit more difficult when you’re on the go. That’s because the icons are a bit on the small side, and some settings need additional navigation through the menu to reach.
There are a few stick sensors in the wheel arches. When it’s raining they automatically put the car in wet mode to reduce throttle response. Also, the rear wing will automatically rise when you hit 55 MPH up to an additional 10 cm. Even further, it raises 5 cm more when you hit 93 MPH to enhance the car’s stability.
The gearbox includes a sports response mode: when engaged, the car is put into maximum speed settings for 20 seconds for instant overtaking.
Price
The new 911 is great both visually and technologically, but it’s a pricey vehicle. Its base price starts at $114,250. The table below shows the cost of some available upgrades.

Comfort
The 2020 Porsche 911 is a two-door sports car with extremely comfy leather-heated front seats with electric backrest operation. The door bins can hold a half-liter bottle of water, and the panel between the seats can easily hold a mobile phone. The car has a wireless charger and multiple USB inputs.
Although the Porsche 911 is a sports car, it has rear seats. However, they lack space for two adult passengers. It may be ok for kids, but you won’t be able to fit a children’s seat there.
The 132-liter trunk is in the front of the car. There’s enough space for a single large suitcase, and you can even fit a bike in the cab if you fold down the rear seats. Just don’t forget to take care of the leather seat covers.
